Is it really vegan?

A SKU lands as 'vegan' on our shelf only when the vendor's full ingredient declaration shows zero animal-derived inputs — no beeswax, no carmine, no lanolin, no animal keratin. We don't accept marketing language; the registered formula decides it. The product page calls out any item that isn't fully vegan so you don't have to ask.

Is it fragrance-free?

'Fragrance-free' means no fragrance materials in the formula at all — not even those naturally derived. If a product is scented, we label the scent and list the fragrance ingredients in the ingredient declaration so you can spot them on the label before checkout. We don't let 'naturally scented' or 'lightly perfumed' slide into 'fragrance-free' copy.

Are sulfates used?

The bench we curate from is SLS/SLES-free by default — sodium lauryl and sodium laureth sulfate are screened out on intake. Where a gentler surfactant system stands in (cocamidopropyl betaine, decyl/sodium coco-sulfate), we name it on the listing. If a product does contain a sulfate-class ingredient, that fact is on the page, not buried.

Are there synthetic color additives?

Every pigment is checked against the FDA color-additive inventory during intake. If the hue requires a batch-certified lot and the vendor can't produce one, we drop the SKU before it earns a listing — never after checkout. Synthetic dyes that aren't on the approved inventory don't make it onto the shelf at all.
